How to properly use the pitch mark repair tool:
- Correct repair of ball marks is fundamental golf etiquette.
- Insertion: Insert the tool at approximately a 45° angle at the edge of the damaged area.
- Levering towards the center: Gently push the grass towards the center of the indentation. Never push the roots upwards as this would break them and cause the grass to die.
- Repeat: Work around the entire perimeter of the damage.
- Tamping: Finally, gently tap down the repaired area with the putter sole or a shoe.
Maintenance:
After each round, we recommend cleaning the knife from residues of soil, sand, and grass that may accumulate in the tool openings. It is advisable to occasionally lubricate moving parts with a drop of light oil to ensure easy operation of all five functions.
