FLASH
is a combat knife with a fixed blade. It is a special edition created in cooperation with the 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade of the Czech Army, inspired by the legendary UTON knife. In 2024, the 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade celebrated the 30th anniversary of its founding. Its command decided, among other things, to combine this anniversary with a new combat knife that would reflect the symbolism of the 4th Brigade while also serving as a practical piece of equipment for the brigade’s soldiers. In collaboration with Mikov s.r.o. and Major Roman Hippík, a new knife began to take shape under the working name FLASH. The designers took the blade of the legendary UTON knife, which the soldiers of the 4th Brigade had when it was first established, as their model.
The FLASH combat knife features:
- a full tang construction with a blade featuring a reinforced tip and a Cerakote surface finish,
- ergonomic handle scales made of Canvas Micarta material,
- a black Kydex sheath,
- each knife is marked with the maker’s and manufacturer’s marks, a serial number, and the year of production.

The brigade’s motivational slogan at its foundation was “WHERE OTHERS FALL SHORT” and it also holds the honorary title “DEFENDERS OF THE NATION.” By combining the slogan with the honorary title, the brigade command named the knife TAMON. The brigade command decided to release the TAMON knife for the civilian market. It is sold under the original working name FLASH in an all-black design including the sheath, without brigade insignia.
The knife is intended for:
- professionals in armed forces,
- collectors,
- demanding civilian users seeking a durable tactical knife made in the Czech Republic.
The knife is available for sale to the general public.
