The Uton model 75 file forms, together with the saw, awl, and cord (paracord), the standard supplementary equipment of the UTON model 75 knife, which was introduced into the Czechoslovak People's Army arsenal in the 1970s.

This accessory expands the knife’s capabilities from a purely combat tool to a versatile survival tool. It is made of carbon steel GR 1070 and is blackened. The main intended uses are:

The file is primarily intended for:

• metalworking
• emergency sharpening

It has a finer texture than the saw and is double-sided. The end of the file is often ground into the shape of a slotted screwdriver, which increases its versatility.

• The same system as for the saw – insertion into the spine of the handle
